Dubai is one of the seven emirates comprising the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.), which is located on the Persian Gulf. Unlike its neighboring cities and emirates, its economy is largely bolstered by the tourism and the free zone industries. Income from oil represents only a small portion of the emirate's revenues. Dubai is primarily known as the premier tourist destination in the region. This is complemented by the bustling port industry of Jebel Ali, which boasts of the world's largest man-made harbor.
