KUALA LUMPUR |
---|
The fortunes of Kuala Lumpur have seen a small town grow into a spectacular, cosmopolitan city in just a century. Over the past few decades, many spectacular buildings have been erected in the city, with the Petronas Twin Towers very much dominating the Malaysian skyline within the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) and Golden Triangle, and contrasting with the more historical buildings. Malaysia's capital of Kuala Lumpur is known the world over for its major celebrations and events, and in recent years has played host to both the Formula One World Championship and the elite Commonwealth Games. Much of the city can be covered on foot, although areas such as Chinatown, the Central Market and Dayabumi may be a little too big to simply walk around.. |
GENTING HIGHLANDS |

The fun never stops at Genting, City of Entertainment, perched on the top of cool, breezy Genting Highlands. One big attraction in Genting is the cool weather. Because of the 2,000m altitude, Malaysians like to visit just to enjoy the 'European' weather! |
LANGKAWI |

An archipelago made up of 99 islands on Malaysia’s west coast – is the country’s best-known holiday destination. Surrounded by stunning turquoise sea, the interior of the main island is a mixture of picturesque paddy fields and jungle-clad hills. If you’re intent on carting off duty-free booze, cigarettes and chocolate, then this is the place to be. Still, Nature-lovers will find the island just as agreeable as the shoreline is fringed by powder-fine sand and swaying coconut trees. |
TAMAN NEGARA |

The most popular activities at Taman Negara are river cruises and jungle trekking. The canopy walk is also a must-see, offering a fantastic close up view of activity in the rainforest canopy. Observation hides are another great way to observe wildlife. Simple huts built high above the ground allow guests to stay overnight to catch opportunities to observe animals in their natural habitat. Cave exploration is also available, either by boat or by foot. |
